Dark Frontier presented some unique challenges in terms of design. It needed to feel like the world of Myth, but present a unique look as well. For this project we brought in a new designer, Peter Wocken, to give us a fresh perspective.

I remained in the director’s role to manage the look and feel, and provided support for Peter in terms of focus and feedback. We also connected with a great illustrator for the terrain tiles on the game board.

In addition to directing the project, I provided pickup work on:

  • Cathedral design elements - we wanted them to be highly illustrated

  • Package art

  • Exclusive card art

  • Concept and character art

  • Farrenroc miniature concept for sculpting

  • Rulebook and additional card layout

  • Logo over painting (Dark Frontier vector design by Chris Doughman)
