In 2024 I collaborated with Heather Jesse, children's pastor of Indy Vineyard Church, to create all of the visual assets for their Vacation Bible School curriculum; Island of Lost Treasure

Character designs were created of the major three cast members, to capture their likeness and create visual connection to the stage plays throughout the week.

The visual aesthetic included water and sailing elements, as well as adventure and discovery. Incorporated into the work was a mix of historical sailing as well as more fantastical steampunk elements.
A starting port and four island designs were created to signify the destinations ahead for the children. Each island visually represented an emotional theme, such as fear and loneliness, that provided context for the adversarial element. The lesson then taught how Jesus' love replaces these negative emotions with courage, hope and joy.

A large stage map printed on vinyl, mirrored the children's passport design, which allowed the acting team to reference it during the intro plays, and visually connect the week's narrative themes.
Every child received their own personal passport, and stickers were applied each day to signify the island they had naviated and the lesson they had learned at the end of the day.

A large 16' x 8' banner was created as a backdrop for the stage during the week.

Other important elements included Breeze site banners for registration, name cards for children, hallway tags and various other design assets for identification and pathfinding.
